Two of Diamonds

"The Two of Diamonds augurs an unexpected communication concerning money or business. Usually it is a promise of a pleasant, though minor, surprise. The communication may contain a gift, a transfer of property, a legacy or an opportunity for a slightly better position. When blocked in by Spades, the message may indicate a happy surprise in the midst of adversity. 

"When the Two of Diamonds appears in any of the wings, it usually marks an isolated instance unrelated to the major influences in the Querent't life. However, if it appears in the middle of the spread, this communication will have far-reaching results, although they may not be visible immediately. In such case, the contents of the communication may result in a change of living conditions, meeting new people or the use of money in a way that will create fresh interests. The cards branching off from the Two of Diamonds should act as guideposts to the Reader in advising the Querent. 

"The Two of Diamonds, when prominent in the spread, may mean that a relatively small expenditure of money can give permanent pleasure to the Querent, and he should be advised to examine the possibilities. Money spent in travel, education, hobbies, club membership, or in any other way that will broaden the horizons of the Querent, may enrich his life far beyond his expectations."
